Adorable Addie

This adorable pipsqueak (aka West Highland Terrier), Addie, was one of the winners of a complimentary photo session for which I ran a "contest" on Facebook a while back. She thought the lake was the perfect location to go romp around and brought Allison and Derek (Mom & Dad) along to join in on the fun.

I asked Allison to tell us a little about Addie - sit back and enjoy the read/photos !

"Addie will be 2 on December 26th, we got her when she was only a few a weeks old. She was the cutest puppy ever, resembling a polar bear. I wanted to get another Westie after having one for 13 years and she has been an amazing addition to our lives, we miss her when we're gone - even if it's just for a day.

Out and about

She is extremely curious about everything but can be quite the scaredy cat! She loves people so much that when she meets someone new she does her "happy growl" and tries to get their attention (we think she likes to be in the spotlight/enjoys being the center of attention). She loves ALL toys but especially loves our socks!
 Up, up and away...

She also turns on her attitude when she's cranky and taps her feet to let us know it's time for bed.
You could say she's a little dog with a big personality."

Stay tuned for next week's blog with some "behind the scenes" August fun!

Have a great week, Pawz followers….

Magnificent Monty

I had the pleasure of meeting Monty and his sidekicks, Amanda and J.T., a couple weeks ago for a session at a local park in Gilbert. I asked "Mom" to tell me a little bit about their adorable guy……

"Monty was adopted in 2008 from Boxer Luv Rescue when he was about a year and half old. Monty loves to chew on bones, toys, and ropes. His favorite toys have been his football and his hedgehog (which have been replaced multiple times because sometimes he likes to rip them open). A good game of tug of war with his two or four legged friends is one of his favorite activities. He is always up for a walk and has a knack for finding the only muddy spot to roll around in to cool off.

Now that he is about 8, he spends his time cuddling on the couch. He has also been an excellent foster brother to the many foster dogs we have had. Monty has a special way of adapting to the needs of all those around him. He has warmed our hearts and continues to surprise us every day. 💕

A mini Schnauzer on the loose in Pittsburgh

For those of you that don't know, I hopped a plane on August 6th and headed east to take part in a 4-day Hair of the Dog pet photography workshop in Pittsburgh with the AWESOME Nicole Begley of Nicole Begley Photography! Such a great experience (more on that in an up and coming blog) :)

On our final day, we headed to the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh where each attendee was paired up with a fur model and their human sidekick for a photo session around The Cathedral of Learning and The Carnegie Library.

Meet Ms. Chiloh (an identical twin to Pawztography's own fur "child", Brimley) ….

Can you believe this was in the middle of the city?!

We even found some beautiful flowers in the midst of it all!

Showing off a classic Schnauzer pose … again, can you believe this is smack dab in the middle of the city?!

And one final image, my favorite…. Chiloh acting as keeper/guard dog of The Carnegie Library.

Thank you, again, Nicole for an awesome four days of shadowing and learning and to Chiloh and her human sidekick, Cheryl, for an unforgettable hour of fun in the 'Burgh!
